Olivia Eckard is currently in her 5th year of study in the Architectural Engineering Program at the Pennsylvania State University. She will graduate in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Degree, with a focus in lighting design. Olivia is currently a member of the Penn State Chapter of IES [Illuminating Engineering Society] and SSAE [Student Society of Architectural Engineering].

For the past two summers, Olivia has had the opportunity to work at two firms within her field of study. In the Summer of 2014, she interned in Cleveland, OH, with Westlake Reed Leskosky, a nationally known architectural engineering firm with several office locations. This past summer, she interned at the studioi company, a lighting design consulting firm, in Pittsburgh, PA. These experiences have provided Olivia with a valuable understanding of two different types of industry, both integrated with lighting design but with different viewpoints.
